Students’ Seminar on “World Alzheimer’s Day”
Students’ Seminar on “World Alzheimer’s Day” September 21, 2018
World Alzheimer’s Day is observed each year on 21st September. It is a day on which Alzheimer’s organizations and individuals around the world raise awareness, highlight issues faced by people affected by memory loss. Lacks of information regarding the above issues require immediate action.
In order to facilitate awareness, Sangita Kumari, B.Ed Batch (2018-20) presented a seminar. She highlighted the causes being depression, stress, head injuries etc which lead to forget conversations, having trouble finding the right words to identify objects, express thoughts or take part in conversations. Focusing on good diet, adopting healthy lifestyle, Mental and physical exercise and avoiding obesity may decrease the risk of Alzheimer. We must be active and aware about bodily changes that we encounter, she added.
It was an informative seminar by Ms. Sangita Kumari.
