Seminars are very common and popular means of interaction in modern day teaching learning world. Seminar could play a vital role in the dissemination of knowledge and build-up of skills. It facilitates participation and interaction in an organized manner. Prof. Sarita Negi, ICFAI Education School, presented a seminar on Delor Commission as it is an important commission headed by Jacques Delors.
The report was created by the Delors Commission in 1996. It emphasizes on an integrated vision of Education based on learning throughout life and the four pillars of learning i.e. to know, to do, to be and to live together. She focused on the features under learning to know as expansion of basic Education and inclusion of special Education as well. According to the report, children should be trained in learning methods, especially in memorizing, thinking and concentration. She emphasised on methods of learning which could help learn lifelong. It was an informative session for the students.
