A seminar on “Sabarimala Temple issue” was organized by Ms. Atulya Verma. Sabarimala is a Hindu temple complex located at the Periyar Tiger Reserve in Kerala in the western Ghat mountain ranges, India, considered to be one of the holiest in Hinduism. She informed the students about what the Ayappa idol symbolizes. Also few facts were brought into notice like, in the year 1991, the Kerala High Court prohibited the entry of women above the age of 10 and below the age of 50 to the temple. However, on 28th September 2018, the Supreme Court of India overturned the ban. The Travancore Devaswom Board is in the favour of the imposed ban. Several developments in the case till date were also discussed.
