Alumni are the best brand ambassadors for any educational institution. One of the measures of success of an educational institution is the success of its alumni and IBS has one of the largest and strongest alumni networks.
At present IBS has over 43,000 alumni spread across the world – a network that expands steadily with each graduating class. IBS alumni are leaders in a broad range of organizations including entrepreneurial companies, established firms, government and Non-profit organizations. They serve in a wide spectrum of industries, including consulting, financial services, venture capital, technology, manufacturing, retail and consumer products. Their success in the corporate arena is an eloquent testimony to their skills, abilities and hard work, as well as to the quality and rigor of business education at IBS. The IBS Alumni Federation (IBSAF) aims to help the alumni stay in touch with their alma-mater and other IBS-ians wherever they are in the world.
IBSAF is a non-profit society, established in 1997 to provide an active institutional framework for professional development, interaction and networking for the IBS alumni. This is facilitated through various events and forums involving both the alumni and IBS students. It also assists alumni in lateral career movement and career development. Alumni actively participate in the developmental activities of IBS and are also inducted into the governance structures at various levels.
IBSAF connects with its alumni through chapters at the local level and online through the website (www.ibsindia.org).
IBSAF promotes lifelong bonding among the IBS alumni and with them aims to take IBS amongst the best B-schools in the world.
