National Conference on the topic of “Technological Developments and Changing Dimensions of Law April 13-14, 2019
The ICFAI University, Dehradun, organised a National Conference on the topic of “Technological Developments and Changing Dimensions of Law” on 13th & 14th April, 2019.
The Conference was held to talk about the technological advancements which have been taking place in the field of law. Whether it is the technological development in the investigative methods or in the field of technical and record keeping work, technology is having a vast impact on our dynamic justice system. The Conference aimed at having a healthy intellectual discussion on topics pertaining to the agenda of the Conference.
The Chief Guest for the Inaugural Session was Justice Mr. L. Nageswara Rao, a sitting Judge of the Honourable Supreme Court of India. The Chief Guest of the Valedictory session was Justice Mr. Siddhartha Verma, a sitting judge in the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad. The Guest of Honour of this session was Padmashree Dr. Anil Joshi, an Indian green Activist and the founder of Himalayan Environmental Studies and Conservation Organization, a Dehradun based NGO.
The guest of honor & key note Speaker was Prof. R.K. Murali, Faculty of Law, B.H.U., Varanasi. Other guests of honor were Prof. Priti Saxena from School for Legal Studies, BBAU Central University, Lucknow, Dr. Yogesh P. Singh from National Law University, Cuttack, Odisha. Prof.(Dr.) Pawan K. Aggarwal, Vice Chancellor, The ICFAI University, Dehradun was the Chief Patron, Pro-vice chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Muddu Vinay & Prof. (Dr.) Yugal Kishore were Patron, Mrs. Monica Kharola, Director. Dr. Sagar k.Jaiswal & Mr. Avishek Raj were the Organizing Secretaries of the event.
Around 330 participants including students, researchers and scholars from over 65+ universities including Aligarh Muslim University, Allahabad University, Lucknow University, National Law Universities, NALSAR University, UPES, Law collage Dehradun, Loyd, Amity, UIT, etc. participated in the conference.
